a note from a dreamer, a creative, and a mom—
I'm very much so someone who loves to romanticize life. I love fresh flowers on the table and a candle burning in the background. I love a well plated dinner even if (and sometimes especially if) it came from a box. I blame the Nancy Myers' and Joanna Gaines' of the world, or maybe I just simply watched too much TV growing up.

I'm a wife and a mom - two titles that mean more than anything to me in the world - but there's also always a dull ache in my soul to create, to cultivate. In some seasons of life I've painted, in some I've thrifted and refinished furniture, in some I've been a graphic designer, and in every season I've cooked both for myself and others.

Life has a way of changing with the seasons, but something that's always been constant is that my hands and my mind were always creating. Louella Paper Co. is simply a channel, an aesthetic and a lifestyle that reminds me to slow down on the busy days and savor the small moments; to create when my soul is weary.
the spirit of Louella ...
Some of my best memories of laughter and love happened in that corner house on Louella Street. Some of my greatest gifts were both found and encouraged there. Some of my favorite home cooked meals were made there. It's one of those places where you simply feel warmer inside; you can breathe deeper and rest longer.

That's my hope and dream of Louella Paper Co. A journey to create that sense of safety in my own home, a foundation to create and trust my crazy ideas, and a vessel to share all of the above with the community around me.
